Purpose of the Job
- Grow regional profits by managing existing customers for excellence and developing new sales opportunities in the Asphalt Additives market in Europe.
- Deliver on multi-year growth targets and budgets aligned with market strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop new sales in the Asphalt Additive market in Europe
- Develop and maintain sound business relationships with new customers to increase market share and to retain current customer base; record engagements in CRM
- Deliver sales to support growth targets
- Develop/manage relationships with industry stakeholders; participate in conferences
- Uncover and report market trends; recommend developments and innovation for new market penetration
- Interact with internal stakeholders to manage all aspects of daily business ensuring a high customer satisfaction; accountable for Order to Cash cycle
- Provide feedback on technical development opportunities to internal stakeholders
- Responsible for sales forecast; ensure high forecast accuracy
- Work in a global Ashalt Additives team; exchange knowledge and support colleagues in other regions
- Work with Manager: Sales Development, Asphalt Additives, Europe to negotiate and manage contracts with Customers; Distributors in line with the strategy
- Support Manager on ad-hoc projects
Formal Education
- Bachelor level degree (technical or commercial)
Working Experience
- 3-5 years sales experience
Required personal and professional skills
- Demonstrated technical and sales experience (preferably in the Asphalt Additives market) with a track record of closing sales. Sound knowledge of sales concepts (e.g., P2Pr)
- Analytical skills, excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Customer-, service- and solution-oriented personality (e.g. self-motivation, delivering high quality solutions and services, demonstrating flexibility)
- User skills for IT modules corresponding to Sales tasks
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and independently work on assignments
- High willingness to travel (~40% of time)
