Location
Ekandustria, Gauteng
Purpose of Job
Handling and moving of items physically or with relevant forklift/machine/vehicle. Assisting with binning and housekeeping of stores and yard areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the loading and off-loading of items from truck or container as per delivery notes/bar-coding labels
- Adhere to all safety regulations and work standards
- Reports any defects on the Forklift
- Housekeeping
- Collect & Transport Raw Materials from the Warehouse to the Production Plants
- Collect Final Product from Production Plants and deliver to the Magazines
- Collect detonators from Caps Plant to the detonator Magazine
- General loading and off-loading of material from delivery trucks
- Recording of product delivered to the different magazine
- Moving and stacking of pallets
- Comply with all legal requirements
- Physical Labour (assisting with binning, issuing and preservation activities
- Carry out all tasks relevant to purpose of jobs as allocated by leader
Formal Education
- Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s license and a Forklift competency certificate
Working Experience
- 1+ year experience in Explosives manufacturing
- Experience working at the Water gel Plant will be an advantage
- SAP (PSD) knowledge will be an advantage
