Purpose of Position

IM Delivery Specialist Finance is required to provide expertise in the area of Finance and Controlling functional areas and will be responsible for design and development of IT solutions. Working side by side with Project Managers, IT experts and key users the Delivery specialist analyses business processes and will research, recommend and develop solution design in order to achieve process improvements required by Process Lead(S) with focus on Finance and Controlling capabilities and integration points.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for managing both development and operations for applications owned by Global Solutions assigned in the Financial and Controlling area from the demand to the delivery. Ensure that assigned systems work correctly on a day-to-day basis and provide troubleshooting for systems as needed.
  • Determine project needs and architect solutions for assigned product areas. Clarify and translate project needs into feasible workable technical requirements, detailed functional specifications, performs configuration changes for assigned functional areas, and support the tests.
  • Act as custodian of the standardized process implementation.
  • Adopt agile, waterfall or hybrid methodology that best fit the project scope.
  • Assist in preparing project cost, resources demand and timelines.  
  • Support existing software and evaluate new software when new needs are identified. Current software in this area includes but is not limited to SAP FI/CO/PS, MBC, other third party and Archiving solutions but also interfaces to other SAP systems like BW and third-party products.
  • Where applicable, also provide oversight AMS and external vendors supporting systems in portfolio. Coordinate activities with other delivery teams as systems included will have significant complexity in terms of functionality, software design, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Work with the key users from Finance to seek out ways to improve processes and advise how to improve the use of existing functionalities.
  • Support system governance and compliance, that includes GRC processes, change management, controls execution.

Formal Education

  • Relevant Degree (e.g. BSc IT / Informatics / B Com Informatics) or equivalent qualification

Working Experience

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, including participation in 2 full project lifecycles

Certification & Professional Membership

  • Certification would be beneficial (e.g. Coupa invoice, OneSource tool)

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Design and implementation of SAP FI, CO and PS solutions including all sub modules (e.g. Asset, Tresury) following clean core principles. Expert on localizations and country specifics in Finance
  • Sensitiveness on Integration with other Supply Chain/Plant operations SAP Modules, SAP products (e.g. MDG, BTP, GRC, BW) and third pary solutions adopted (e.g. OneSource, Coupa invoice)
  • Good trouble shooting skills in areas of application interfaces (includes ABAP knowledge)
  • Self development capabilities in order to support products evolution
  • Experience in working for international vendors/system integrators (on site/off shore) or within the IT department of multinational companies
  • Excellent team player, good communication skills, in both German or Italian or Chinese and English
  • Project management skills
  • Customer focused, solution oriented and focus on delivering high quality
