Purpose of the Job

The Manager Market Development Eurasia is tasked with leading marketing initiatives critical to the commercial success of new products and applications in the Technical Formulations sector. This role coordinates closely with Product Managers, Sales, R&D, and Market Managers to ensure alignment with business plans and successful market entry.

 

The position can be based in Germany (Hamburg, Brunsbuettel or Marl), the Netherlands (Amsterdam or Enschede) or in Italy (Milan, Augusta, Sarroch or Terranova).

Key Accountabilities

Accountable for the commercial success of new products/applications within Technical Formulation, primarily for EurAsian markets products, which includes:

  • Define business criteria for the selection and prioritization of new product and application developments, focusing on the Technical Formulation market segments and alcohol needs.
  • Coordinate the preparation of business cases for new developments, including volume, margin targets, necessary resources, and success metrics.
  • Lead the execution of business plans to ensure successful commercialization of new products.
  • Ensure all marketing needs (4Ps: Pricing, Product, Place, and Promotion, plus training) are addressed to support sales teams and achieve forecasted results.
  • Monitor product performance and trigger specification and price adjustments as needed to meet performance, volume, and profitability goals.
  • Manage the discontinuation of products that become financially non-viable, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
  • Assure that all Marketing needs (Pricing, Product, Place and Promotion, plus training) will be in place to support sales teams to materialize the results forecasted in the business case, triggering specification and price modifications to achieve performance, volume and profitability expectations when needed.

Formal Education

  • Bachelor's degree in science / engineering / marketing / business

Working Experience

  • at least 5 years of relevant experience with 2-3 years in Product Management / Marketing / Market Development

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Solid commercial, marketing, and basic technical knowledge in the chemical industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of related industry
  • Proven experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Market Development
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; proactive and results-oriented
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
