Purpose of the Job
The Market Manager for Industrial, Paper & Water and Textile & Leather will drive profitable growth in these specific market sectors through strategic market and product development, marketing excellence, and comprehensive sales enablement. This role will develop and execute the market strategy in collab. with Sales, R&D, Market Development and product managers.
This Position can be based in Germany (Hamburg, Brunsbuettel or Marl), the Netherlands (Amsterdam or Enschede) or in Italy (Milan, Augusta, Sarroch or Terranova).
Key Accountabilities
Leadership of Marketing activities for the differentiated market teams, including sales. R&T market development and product marketing, through:
- Consolidation of market and customer research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis to develop a tailored marketing strategy, encompassing the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), for the identified target markets to drive growth.
- Identify and explore growth opportunities in specific markets for existing or new adjacent products and derivatives, across all geographies.
- Coordinate with Product Managers and Sales to align product initiatives with business objectives for existing products in specific differentiated markets, including the integration of new products/applications.
- Support contract negotiation preparations from a market-specific perspective.
- Develop differentiated pricing strategies where applicable, to enhance market focus in coordination with Product Managers.
- Coordinate marketing communications and branding strategies with marketing communications and R&D teams, including conference presence, brochures, and digital presence.
- Manage sales force training needs tailored to the specific differentiated markets.
Formal Education
- Bachelor's degree in science / engineering / marketing / Business
Working Experience
- at least 5 years of relevant working experience, with 2-3 years in Product Management / Marketing / Market Development
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Solid commercial, marketing, and basic technical knowledge in the chemical industry
- Proven knowledge of the related industry and markets
- Demonstrated experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Market Development
- Strong communication and leadership skills; proactive and results-oriented
- Proficient English (written and spoken)
