Purpose of the Job

To ensure that for each of the key value chain segments that we operate, cross-regional performance sustainability and improvement plans are developed and delivered, containing prioritised initiatives and projects as per the performance requirements of production and maintenance, as well as improvement initiatives, in accordance with their strategic fit, in order to deliver on market and supply chain needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the establishment of performance improvement plans, based on needs associated with reliability gaps, asset renewals, regulatory requirements as well as medium term capacity or quality changes
  • Project portfolio prioritization in order to support resource prioritisation within Technical Services
  • Provide Sponsor assistance on Sustenance-projects (where requested to do so by Site Management)
  • Drive cross-regional integration, performance optimization and knowledge sharing of similar production-units at other sites
  • Provide a single point of contact for joint-plan / budget development with Finance / IPL / Commercial and Strategy, related to this specific value chain segment
  • Provide input into business cases in support of asset reviews or expansion projects
  • Balance capital investments as well as small-project initiatives based on sustenance needs vs growth / improvement options, as well as available resources
  • Enage with Technical Service and / or R&D regarding opportunity evaluations
  • Ensure that risk-assessments associated affecting the assets in this specific value chain segment, apply a common framework and measurement approach across all operating sites
  • Leading Process and Asset  

Formal Education

  • Completed degree in Engineering
  • MBA is considered an advantage

Working Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Very good communication skills / networking capability (across the northern hemisphere)
  • Independent goal setting, and execution plan development
  • Project development and execution experience (intricate knowledge of the BD&I model)
  • Very good understanding of Operations business processes
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken) and very good communication skills
  • Good IT skills (MS-Office etc.)
