Purpose of the Job
The Specialist Financial & Business Analytics provides the Chemicals organization with reliable financial reporting, data analytics and planning capabilities to improve transparency, performance steering and decision-making. The role supports the continuous enhancement and automation of reporting, forecasting and analytical tools, turning financial and operational data into actionable insights for Finance, Business Segments and Regional Platforms.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide standard and advanced financial analysis, reporting and visualization for the Chemicals organization, including Business Segments and Regional Platforms
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve dashboards, KPIs and analytics tools to make business performance visible across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, cost and segment reporting
- Support data quality improvement in financial reporting systems, including Business Warehouse and integrated planning platforms
- Use data analytics to generate reports, analyze results, identify trends and anticipate movements in financial and business performance
- Support the automation and digitalization of reporting and planning processes in alignment with Finance, IPL and the Business Segments
- Apply modern analytics methods, statistical models and external market or competitor insights to improve forecasting quality and business understanding
- Partner across organizational lines to translate business requirements into effective reporting, planning and analytics solutions
- Contribute to Finance becoming a world-class provider of performance transparency, business insights and decision-support capabilities for the Chemicals organization
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
Working Experience
- At least two years of industry experience in Finance, Marketing & Sales, IPL, or a related function
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- Business and Commercial Acumen
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Preferably sound understanding of Chemicals financial reporting systems
