Senior Rotating and Fixed Reliability Engineer

Purpose of Job

• Drives the Rotating and Fixed reliability improvement process for the assigned operating units.
• Works closely with the unit, maintenance, inspection, & technology peers to troubleshoot and investigate very high and high criticality equipment failures, bad actor failures, and repeat failures to identity and implement improvement plans to maximize mechanical reliability. 
• Proficient at conducting complexity asset performance Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations with minimal supervision or support from others.

Key Accountabilities

• Strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures. 
• Sound working knowledge of Rotating and Fixed applicable codes and standards.
• Provides Rotating and Fixed Technical Calculations to Reliability, Maintenance and Operations as needed.
• Leads the Identification, Investigation, Execution of Recommended Action Items and Closure of asset failure and performance investigations. 
• Supports their assigned units Actual Overall Equipment Effectiveness targets by ensuring reliability investigations and action items assigned for critical assets are completed.
• Supports the development of new, improved, and innovative processes, systems and techniques related to Rotating and Fixed to improve their assigned Units performance.
• Provides Rotating oversight of overhauls and repairs ensuring onsite and offsite repairs are completed to specifications and procedures.

Formal Education

Working Experience

• 5+ years of rotating and fixed engineering experience

• Sound knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Data driven decision making, cultural sensitivity, business acumen, professional demeanor, and unquestionable integrity
• Demonstrated soft skill expertise as it relates to presentations, public speaking, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship building
