Purpose of Job
- The Process Engineering department is responsible for developing and planning solutions to optimize current processes as well as new processes
- The Process Engineering department is therefore responsible for the process engineering activities in technical projects in all phases, including development, planning, execution and commissioning, as well as de-commissioning
- The Process Engineering department develops proposals for (cost effective) energy and CO2 reduction projects
- The Process Engineering department participates in PHA and advanced operational troubleshooting
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for developing and planning solutions to optimize current processes as well as new processes
- Responsible for the process engineering activities in technical projects in all phases, including development, planning, execution and commissioning, as well as de-commissioning
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Capital Expenditures Project Portfolio
- Responsible for developing proposals for (cost effective) energy and CO2 reduction projects
- Provide suitably trained resources to participate in PHA and advanced operational troubleshooting
- Works closely with peers to understand, align on, and deliver a strong Safety Culture and Sasol strategic priorities
- Developing and adhering to a department budget
- Identify key competencies needed to deliver the Process Engineering program and work with HR to develop and manage an effective succession plan for key roles and key personnel
Formal Education
Working Experience
- 15+ years of practical engineering experience
- 7+ years of managerial experience

- Collaborative mindset, works well with others
- Effective oral and written communication
