Key Accountabilities

  • Analyzes and determines causes of faulty conditions of pumps and other equipment and correct them by repair, calibration and adjustment of machinery and equipment to meet proper operational and quality requirements
  • Installs and calibrates new pump, equipment, and machinery to that currently in use or as specified in new installation
  • Overhauls, cleans, repairs, adjusts, aligns, and calibrates various types of pumps, machinery, and equipment
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance duties utilizing various types of analyses, meters, and other test equipment
  • Must be able to attach proper accessories and demonstrate safe usage of pneumatic and power tools that are issued from the tool room
  • Requires physical abilities to climb stairs and ladders and moderate to heavy lifting
  • Must be able to repair/rebuild rotating equipment

Formal Education

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent - required

 

Working Experience

  • Technical, industrial, craft degree or other training applicable to Outside Machinist and/or at least 3 years of experience applicable to Outside Machinist - preferred

Required Personal/ Professional Skills

  • Acceptable and clean work history - required
  • Pass all pre-employment requirements
  • Ability to safely perform essential job functions
