Purpose of Job
Serve as the primary interface between Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure that rotating equipment in the facility are designed, operated, installed, and maintained in a way that meets or exceeds all applicable codes and standards to ensure maximum reliability, equipment availability, and minimal life cycle cost. Works with the other internal and external peers to deliver a results-oriented Reliability Centered Culture.
Key Accountabilities
Drive the efficient and effective delivery of Mechanical Reliability Services by:
- Proactively monitoring rotating equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability and availability utilizing Vibration Analysis and other CBM/PdM Technologies.
- Personally leading equipment troubleshooting efforts to determine if systems are functioning as designed.
- Serving as the Subject Matter Expert on condition monitoring techniques.
- Maximizing reliability while minimizing the life cycle costs for mechanical assets to include CBM/PdM strategies, condition monitoring, and defect elimination.
- Assisting with reliability workflows such as FMEA's, RCFA, equipment strategies, etc…
- Using your base CBM/PdM knowledge as well as your advanced technical training to analyze equipment parameters and provide recommendations:
o that prevent equipment failures and resolve system issues.
o to ensure that precision maintenance strategies are understood and followed.
o that ensures that repairs and installations follow or exceed RAGAGEP and applicable codes or standards.
Formal Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold or previously held a Vibration Category 2 Certification from a reputable source.
Working Experience
- 5+ years of field experience as a Category 2 Vibration Analyst.
- Demonstrated proficiency with precision maintenance techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency with troubleshooting rotating equipment systems utilizing Condition Monitoring Data
- Demonstrates Computer Literacy
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- Sound knowledge of applicable codes and standards with the ability to reference and utilize them for recommendations.
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data driven decision making, cultural sensitivity, business acumen, professional demeanor, and unquestionable integrity.
