Purpose of Job

To lead, manage and ensure oversight of the Supply Chain Business Intelligence & reporting Services portfolio to achieve timely, standardized, available, accurate and well governed information on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual frequency.

Oversee the measurement of performance of the current processes, technology and SC & Customer Fulfillment network; the analysis of this performance data as an input to SLAs/SLC’s and identify opportunities for improvements.

To ensure the availability, visibility and suitability of data for successful evaluation.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Manage and lead the SC Support Services capability in providing the necessary information as and when required. Ensure Accuracy and timeliness of business intelligence provided. Monitor, identify and report exceptions to SC & Customer Fulfillment and the rest of the hosted Business Segments. Ensure that the Business Segment’s performance measures are aligned with Sasol-wide DOVs, policies and procedures. Ensure alignment with all Supply Chain Functionally and the Groupwide governance and business intelligence standards. Define the analytics and reporting landscape capability within SC. Identify opportunities to expedite, streamline and enhance reporting. Identify and pursue opportunities to automate reporting segments to allow greater focus on analytics and providing intelligence to business. Provide standardized and automated reporting in a timely manner. Develop mechanisms e.g. workshops, Pods, scorecards, health checks to facilitate the gathering and analysis of business intelligence to improve business processes and the BC bottom line. Ensure that performance management measurement workshops are concluded as required and metrics agreed and measured as agreed. Develop and implement SLC’s and score card mechanisms. Conduct health checks consistently in line with different functional agreements. Provide recommendations for short, medium- and long-term resolutions of performance challenges. Track and ensure visibility of the progress on improvement actions. Ensure that a clear and agreed training program exists for the SC and Customer fulfillment Business Process Optimisation and achievement of Sasol 2.0 objectives. Lead and contribute in initiatives and projects aimed at improving supply chain governance and compliance within the Business Segment. Support the effective functioning of the Supply Chain function within the organisational unit through the implementation and following the Sasol Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and the Supply Chain Governance Frameworks. Direct and support sound management practices to ensure fit-for purpose supply chain oversight and control.
