Purpose of Job
To provide Chemicals Africa Supply Chain with the information and technical support required to enable business optimization. To support the Chemicals Supply Chain and Customer fulfilment (CF) functions through maintaining a database of continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives through the availability of information. Execute business optimization activities and initiatives within the Chemicals Africa Supply Chain and Customer Fulfilment (CF) functions to ensure that production is not constrained by SC capacity.
Key Accountabilities
Participate as a project lead and team member in supply chain improvement initiatives, including system upgrades and process improvement initiatives. Partner with P&O in ensuring production is not constrained. Partner with DRP to ensure that SC fulfil planning directives. Partner with production operations to ensure optimised SC interfaces. Interface with SC operations (coastal, rail flow and warehousing) to enable optimised SC and CF processes. Represent SC in all Sasol group design and optimisation forums. Interface with IM and systems enablement to facilitate SC & CF process. Prepare business cases for project capital applications. Ensure successful capital application motivations. Ensure value adding projects and initiatives that minimise the SC cost to serve. Report on all improvement initiatives monthly and through approved portals. Execute activities which optimise Supply Chain services, in particular outbound support services. Support delivered in accordance to agreed SLAs. Generate of BRS, Functional and Technical specifications for systems enablement initiatives. Provide first line support across all value chains, including systems and super user support. Expertise in at least one Mode of Transport Expertise in at least some SC operation Understanding of current SC trends Ensure that SAP clearly record all SC cost for correct marketing netbacks. Facilitate and become the custodian of all SC design strategy implementation.
