Purpose of Job

Manage the strategic IM engagement and IM product delivery to drive commercial value across specific business portfolios (Legal, Compliance, Assurance, IP and IM) and capability areas in Sasol Group Functions. Lead the team’s daily activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to guarantee business focused delivery. Monitor IM demands (Projects, Enhancements and Change Requests) and confirm that all IM portfolio requirements are considered, prioritised and delivery managed Provide valuable input to leadership on all IM related innovations in the assigned area of responsibility. Understanding the value chain and business processes for the areas of Legal, Compliance, Assurance, IP and IM.

Key Accountabilities

• Coordinate with the business to define business priorities and objectives in line with Sasol’s overall strategy.

• Identify and address business needs and capabilities to enable accurate forecast and mitigate potential future risks.

• Devise IM services that deliver high-quality and risk-managed services and allow the provision of sustainable value to the business.

• Guarantee that IM product development is seamless by adopting and implementing the envision to deliver framework.

• Oversee the IM business analysts and solutions architects’ team and manage day-to-day activities of all product delivery teams / squads to secure the achievement of targets against set delivery KPIs.

• Extensive negotiations skill especially for commercial and vendor management to ensure business value and Sasol interests are protected and delivered

• Maintain architecture maps and technology landscapes in the assigned segment of responsibility.

• Execute demand and portfolio management processes through the appropriate and effective deployment of technology resources.

• Cooperate with other regions to pool resources as necessary. Allocate available IM resources to relevant business driven outcomes to enable the attainment of established business goals.

• Control the entire backlog (i.e. project and transactions) and provide direction to delivery teams.

• Collaborate with IM Senior Managers and SMEs to secure the effective transitioning of new product delivery.

• Liaise with Product Owners to facilitate business prioritisation and verify that delivery teams work at full capacity to sustain alignment.

• Promote and advocate for IT and digital innovations delivery taking into account the business capacity in the respective area of responsibility.

• Continuously evaluate, update, and enhance IM services within the business to preserve high-quality services with optimal costs.

• Monitor and handle IM delivery tools such as ITBM, Azure boards, etc., and workflows to allow proper capturing of new and delivery of business needs (demands, projects, enhancements, CR, etc.).

• Keep abreast of IM advancements and provide leadership with valuable insight and strategic recommendations on IM innovations, delivery, and work methods.

• Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.

• Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (e.g. strategic vendors, product owners, and other managers) to enable the provision of exceptional IM services.

• Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

• Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group.

• Identify and activate learning as required based on individual and collective needs.

• Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.

Formal Education

University Bachelors Degree

Minimum Experience

• 8+ relevant years

• At least 6 months IM Product Management lead role and delivery

• Commercial and vendor management experience
