The role ensures effective coordination across HUBs, OBUs, Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain, Supply and Trading, Finance and Central P&O to balance customer requirements, inventory levels, production capability, logistics capacity, working capital, revenue and cost considerations. The role serves as the central point of contact for in-month lubricant supply, schedule changes, escalations and supply-related queries, while supporting scenario analysis, risk mitigation, deviation management, waiver administration, process improvement and performance monitoring against agreed planning and scheduling KPIs.
Key Accountabilities
Scheduling and Supply Planning
Develop, maintain and distribute daily, weekly and monthly lubricant schedules based on demand, raw material availability, production capability, distribution capacity and inventory constraints.
Align schedules to marketing demand and customer service requirements while balancing supply resources, cost, working capital and profitability objectives.
Stakeholder Coordination and Cross-Functional Alignment
Coordinate with Production, toll blenders, buy-out vendors, Technical, Procurement, Category Management, Marketing, inbound logistics and outbound logistics teams to gather inputs, resolve constraints and communicate schedule changes.
Facilitate emergency response planning to minimise supply interruptions and ensure timely escalation of material supply risks.

Share material risks, opportunities and proposed responses with Central P&O and relevant stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring, Deviation and Waiver Management
Monitor performance against plans, schedules and agreed planning KPIs across the lubricant value chain.
Quantify the impact of deviations on revenue, cost, service levels, procedures and supply commitments, and coordinate corrective action where required.
Support waiver management by ensuring deviations are properly substantiated, documented and approved, where applicable.
Continuous Improvement and Digital Enablement
Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling processes, improve supply chain efficiency and strengthen consistency in P&O reporting.
Participate in cross-functional projects and support the development, implementation and adoption of planning, scheduling and digital tools.
Inventory and HUB Plan Optimisation
Optimise HUB plans by confirming inventory, product quality, intermediate quality and pricing assumptions with relevant stakeholders.
Monitor stock levels across depots, production plants and warehouses, including raw material and finished product inventory.
Support inventory reconciliation, identify stockout or overstock risks and adjust schedules accordingly.
Challenge planning inputs and constraints, and prepare alternative scenarios to improve supply reliability and profitability.
One Sasol Framework Plan Support
Provide, validate and certify qualitative and quantitative information required by Central P&O for the development of the One Sasol Framework Plan.
Convert the One Sasol Framework Plan into executable HUB plans and schedules to ensure the right product quantity and quality is supplied at the required time.
Ensure technical and operational directives are approved, communicated and incorporated into planning assumptions.
Support capital and operational decisions involving the HUB through reliable planning inputs and scenario analysis.
Systems and Data Management
Apply SAP and relevant planning systems to support scheduling, inventory management, material master accuracy and transactional execution.
Maintain the usability and integrity of lubricant material masters, bills of material, planning files and related scheduling data.
