Purpose of Job

Lead a team of category managers responsible for total C store turnover.

Prepare for a range of negotiating tactics to achieve win-win commercial and non-commercial outcomes. Protects the organisation by identifying, assessing and mitigating sourcing and supplier risks.

Ensure the completion of team's assignments with focus and initiative, for

Manage margin and profitability of assortment.

Retailer engagements, and troubleshooting

Key Accountabilities

Analyse category sales trends/history formulate category strategies leveraging insights to fuel growth.

Develop and execute continuous review plan to identify trade optimization opportunities.

Negotiating favourable price/promotions with suppliers  resulting in value for money, selling price points and primary margins being achieved.

Assists with developing and coaching category managers, focus on growth of business, product and range assortment.

Manage enablement of contract specialists (competencies, enablement, access requirements, training requirements, governance alignment and stakeholder management).

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to manage issues Identify problem areas and address by implementation of plans for training/development/work management.

Ensure network fill rates are optimal, driving efficiencies with supply chain partners.

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to reduce costs, improve purchasing performance and enhance value add for Sasol Group.
