Purpose of Job

Support the implementation and application of sound financial management and reporting practices in the Sasol Oil Business Unit. Manage effective, accurate, and timely reporting to internal stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the SAP month end closure process – Sasol Oil BU SAP codes

• Manage month-end journal process to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely SAP closure

• Preparation and review of month-end GL reconciliations

• Maintaining IFRS 16 calculations for the Sasol Oil business

• Provide support for Group FP&A reporting requirements

• Rehabilitation provisions calculations and updates

• Manage monthly invoicing processes - Rental invoices / O&M invoices / Ad-hoc invoices

• Company, CGU calculation for Sasol Oil stand alone impairments

• Provide input to variance reporting in supporting of Sasol Oil and Group Reporting processes

• Perform business analysis to support strategic decisions

• Financial Systems - Identifies improvements and changes required

• Drive performance and career development for individuals and team

• Sasol Oil year end and half year general ledger reconciliations and disclosures

• Provide evidence to support key SOX processes

• Engagement with Internal and External auditors

• Sasol Oil income statement reporting per business channel and consolidated

• Driving automation processes in order to eliminate manual interventions for reporting of actual numbers

Formal Education

University Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting / Finance)
