Purpose of Job
Develop strategies to enable and support strategy formulation for Energy and RSA chemicals formulation linked to Sasol objectives. Drive the development, framing and support the delivery and challenge sessions to progress strategy development across marketing and sales in Southern Africa.
Key Accountabilities
• Lead assessment of energy business competitive positioning and long-term outlook by assessing landscape developments, key positioning requirements by stakeholders
• Develop forward-looking multi-year strategic targets for energy business
• Assess opportunity funnel for growth and prioritise opportunities within the Sasol portfolio outcomes
• Develop pathways for development including options to expand and deliver and shrink to release value back into the Group
• Support M&A development and strategic fit as required across the South African businesses
• Establish and refine key performance indicators that drive current performance and transformation outcomes
• Initial strategy blocks to include gas, power, coal, renewable energy, mobility and Chemicals RSA
Formal Education
Relevant 3–4-year University bachelor’s degree
MBA will be an advantage
Min Experience
12+ relevant years or more than 5 years’ experience at a top tier consulting house
