Purpose of Job
Structure and recommend gas transportation agreements. Lead and develop plans for GtP in RSA (Gate 1 – Gate 3), hand over to Asset manager after Gate 3. Lead and develop plans for gas pipeline and terminal development in RSA and Mozambique
Key Accountabilities
- The single point accountable person to lead the project team on LNG to Power from Gate 1 to Gate 3.
- Lead, manage, co-ordinate and facilitate delivery through the integration of multidisciplinary teams to submit bid to government.
- Lead cross functional project team(s) (internal and external team composition) on behalf of Joint Venture Consortium(s) and Partnerships as applicable.
- Provide structure and leadership to ensure governance to Sasol requirements and venture and partnership(s) requirements.
- Provide options, steer and leadership to ensure commercially astute strategies, while meeting business objectives
- Work closely with the Dept of Energy IPP Office to ensure that the bid requirements are influenced to ensure selected as a preferred bidder. Deliver and execute stakeholder management and strategy development to ensure alignment between partners, funders, IPP Office etc.
- Derive plan and execute for Section 34 dispensation as appropriate.
Formal Education
Relevant 3-4 year University Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Science or Commerce
The preferred candidate should have Mozambican citizenship.
