Purpose of Job

Track and achieve an optimal balance between requirements and demand.

Consolidate on-demand requirements, manage inventory levels, and create stock movement orders.

Develop and secure the transport and storage capacity requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute and manage the optimal balance between requirements and demand dynamics for the BU’s products portfolio. Collaborate with key planning, production, marketing, sales, and logistics stakeholders to achieve this balance.
  • Create stock movement / transfer requirements orders to enable the fulfilment of orders as per the sales and operations plan.
  • Develop the transport and storage capacity requirements in the sales and operations planning processes. Adjust plans to enable the provision of organised inventories that meet customer level, supply reliability, governance, risk, and regulations.
  • Consolidate and deliver on-demand requirements and adhere to planning in line with internal control systems and business practices.
  • Evaluate and develop scenarios and strategies to address capacity shortages. Perform business analysis to reduce risks and maximise available capacity.
  • Guarantee that all activities comply with the BU’s processes, standards, and due dates.
  • Monitor the BU’s activities and assess achievement of KPIs within set timeline.
  • Oversee the shorter-term scheduling related interactions.
  • Manage inventory level against set target levels and provide insight and recommendation on target levels to P&O.
  • Submit timely reports to line manager and provide recommendations for the development of a business case for the acquisition of new assets to enable the achievement of operational results.
  • Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
  • Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of a balance between the BU’s demand and requirements.
  • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.
