Purpose of Job

Vibration and oil analysis on rotating equipment

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Required outputs:

Functional, Operational, financial and technical results: Ensure vibration and oil monitoring activities are performed as scheduled. Retain current customers and gain new customers to broaden base of business. Ensure reliability and availability of high-speed rotating equipment through effective condition monitoring strategy and procedures. Technical deliverables such as analysis of data, monitoring and diagnostics on problem machines to enable correct technical decision making by process and maintenance personnel.

Leadership and growth results: Formulation of group goals and strategy to support the business goals. Performance management of personnel reporting to you to achieve the business goals. Development of individual team members to ensure succession and career progression.

Management results: Manage & planning of small projects. Implementation of operational processes and procedures. Compliance to governance and legal requirements, checked via audits and inspections. Work alignment between various customers, across boundaries. Problem solving and reporting of deviations. Optimisation and availability of resources.

Customer relationship results: Customer service level agreement contracting, management and delivery. Liason with and arrangement of supporting functions, inside or outside contractors.

Innovation and Improvement results: Continuous improvement of existing practices/procedures (simpler, quicker, better). Optimisation of process and results.

Formal Education

  • S4 / B-Tech ( Mechanical Engineering)
  • ASNT Level-2B / TA level 2 Certified Vibration Analyst

Min Experience

  • 6 years experience in Condition Monitoring
  • Vibration Analysis (CSI 2120 & 2130 / RBMware)
  • Balancing of Rotating Equipment (CSI 2120 / 2130)
  • Oil analysis (Turbine / Compressor Oils)
  • Online Vibration Systems (Bently 3300 / 3500 / System 1 / Adré for WIN)
