Purpose of Job
Supports production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures / codes, and utilizing all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant
Key Accountabilities
Participate in maintaining and calibrating instrumentation
Participate in maintaining and calibrating control valves.
Calibrate and replace transmitters
Control Systems
Participate in the maintenance of Control Systems
Conduct fault finding/diagnostics
Loop tuning
Alarm management
Basic Software engineering & configuration
Alarm and Trip management
Perform in Alarm and Trip tests
Plant Distributed Control System (DCS) Functions
Describe plant DCS hardware
Networks
Describe types and the purpose of Networks (e.g. Profibus, modbus, Ethernet, telemetry,etc)
Plant Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Controls
Describe ESD systems and function
Outline the purpose of cause and effect diagrams
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA)
Describe SCADA Systems
Hazardous Area Management
Conduct inspections on classified equipment and logging of deviations
Conduct repairs and replacements on classified equipment
Formal Education
Grade 12 with Maths, Science and English and Occupational Trade Qualification
OR
Full N3 with Maths, Science and English and Occupational Trade Qualification\ Red Seal Trade Test
Valid code 08 Drivers License (Wish)
Working Experience
3+ relevant years
