Purpose of Job
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of the access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence systems for the Sasolburg, Natref and Mining and the Pipelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Execution of maintenance on the security systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing of various security systems.
- Installation and configuration of security systems
- Gathering of information independently.
- Managing own work and development.
- Follow procedures, norms and policies.
- Demonstrate ability to understand customer requirements and plan accordingly.
- Configure and troubleshooting of wireless networks
- Demonstrate computer skills and ability to utilize available applications/tools.
Formal Education
- National Diploma/Diploma in Electrical Engineering Light Current.
- Drivers’ license code B.
- PSIRA Grade C registration will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technician.
- Experience on the maintenance of one or more of the following systems: access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence.
- Knowledge of Milestone XProtect, XTIME, Honeywell will be an added advantage
