ROAS (Vehicle Service Centre)

Purpose of Job

To safely transport either cargo or passengers from one location to another.

They must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring that there their vehicle is at all times roadworthy and has sufficient fuel.

Key Accountabilities

The role of the Driver is to clearly execute instructions for the safe delivery and collection of vehicles to service providers for maintenance.

• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report defects

• Communication with the workshop and other stakeholders 

• Execute deliveries according to delivery sequence

•  Comply with site, operational, and SHERQ procedures

• Adhere to policies and procedures so that task is done safely and accurately.

Formal Education

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) 
  • CODE EC (Code 14) drivers Licence
  • In possession of a valid professional driver permit (PrDP)
  • Load secure training (WISH)

Work experience

At least 5 years code 14 driving experience
