Purpose of Job
To facilitate Generic SHE Learning Interventions in a Learning SHE Academy, in compliance with SHE learning standards and requirements in order to enable the regional Hub/ SBU/ OBU’s/Functions to achieve their respective Generic SHE training plan.
Be an ambassador for the SHE Academy to achieve SHE Excellence in the eyes of our Stakeholders (Internally & Externally) and promote a culture of ZERO Harm.
Key Accountabilities
- Course Facilitation Adherence to training schedule.
- Willingness to travel within Sub-Sahara Africa, sometimes on short notice to deliver Generic SHE learning interventions to our external stakeholders.
- Responsible for the preparation and availability of the lecture room and training aids before the start of an intervention.
- Responsible for adhering to the relevant lesson plan for every intervention facilitated.
- Responsible for the facilitation of learning interventions in line with relevant learning legislation and SHE functional requirements.
- Responsible for assessments and evaluations post learning delivery Utilizing the latest revised content at all times.
- Assessment & Moderation Adherence to assessment plan and assessment criteria.
- Responsible to ensure that assessments and moderations within area of expertise are conducted using methods, activities and processes specified by appropriate legislative framework.
- Responsible for ensuring evaluation of learning that has taken place in terms of measurable knowledge transfer.
- Responsible for document control and record keeping Adherence to document control procedures ie attendance registers and training records timeously submitted to admin.
- Technology (Enabling technology systems in place).Keeping abreast of latest CPS (Classroom Performance System) ie Effectively back-up learner assessment records on server as per agreement with SLP.
- Responsible for the management of own personal development plan Partner with SLP to develop a personal development plan. Ensures that personal development contributes towards the SHE Learning Delivery team achieving goals (Aligning own performance objectives with strategic focus)
- Take part in the Design & Development training cycle of learning material that conforms to the VACS principle
Formal Education
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- NQF4 Chemical Operations or NQF4 trade qualification (Must)
Working Experience
- 6 years of relevant experience in a petrochemical operation environment as a Production Foreman or Senior Process Controller, Artisan Or
- 6 years of relevant experience within a petrochemical operation as a Learning Practitioner Good understanding of Sasol Group SHE procedures e.g. PTW Procedure, Incident Management Process, Process Safety Management and One Sasol SHE excellence approach
