Purpose of Job

To provide advanced technical and operational support to Tank Farm Operations by applying specialist process knowledge, operational excellence principles, and data-driven optimisation techniques. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, ensuring safe and reliable operations, optimising product handling and storage, and supporting operational performance, asset integrity, and business continuity objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plant monitoring and report deviations
  • Conduct RCAs and participate on program to reduce equipment failures
  • Perform material balance and report on the loses
  • Monitor and report on OWAP, input reason codes
  • Facilities risk assessments, PDA,TRA
  • Participates on Hazop, PHAs
  • Conduct RCAs and
  • Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Facilitate implementation of continuous improvement projects. Improve change-over times and efficiencies.
  • Updates Plant SOP, Work instruments and checklists
  • Support effective implementation and commissioning and decommissioning of solutions for process equipment’s
  • Resolve troubleshoot issues that involve quality, equipment set up, and technical issues.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of customer needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise processes and production field operations.
  • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

Formal Education

Essential

  • National Diploma in Chemical Engineering

Advantageous

  • Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc Engineering)
  • BTech Chemical Engineering,

Min Experience

3yrs in a petrochemical industry
