Purpose of Job
To create architecture storyboards/viewpoints that articulate business requirements within the assigned portfolio. To document current state architecture, design ideal state architecture, and develop plans to deploy new solutions to meet emerging business needs.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct high-level studies of technological options in the chemicals and energy fields of application, and screen the ones that can be deployed in Sasol Group.
Deliver technology option recommendations, along studies and analyses that justify these recommendations (i.e. cost-benefit analysis, CAPEX, OPEX, integration implications, and risk profile).
Track global technological developments in relevant fields and identify potential threats and opportunities for Sasol Group.
Develop technology deployment plan, communicate it with relevant stakeholders, and secure buy-in.
Monitor implementation team's performance against set framework, and conduct professional development activities as required.
Submit progress reports to top management, and communicate achievements against technology deployment plans.
Provide thought leadership and guidance in technological areas of expertise, and conduct training sessions when required to transfer knowledge.
Engage with relevant stakeholders and service providers, and maintain close relationship with them.
Drive innovation and facilitate knowledge sharing within relevant OMEs.
Take responsibility for personal performance, improvement, and skills development.
Provide feedback to key stakeholders (i.e. customers, licensors, and project teams) on progress and needed enhancements.
Support collaboration through promoting teamwork, being a team player, and developing positive working relations.
Work closely with IP technical advisors to provide integrated technological offerings.
Regularly engage with licensors, licensees, and equipment vendors to keep abreast of new developments.
